#Computer power supply#How to modify#5V output
It is known that when converting a computer power supply to a regular Betty power supply, a certain amount of load must be applied to the 5V output line to produce proper output.
I tried making a video to see why.
The load used for the 5V output line is an aluminum block resistor and is usually 10W, 10 ohm, or 25W 10 ohm. When using this, you must consider cooling before installing it. Usually, you can hang it on the side where the wind blows from a cold fan, or if space is limited, you can attach it to the nearby heat sink. In this case, you need to think carefully about insulation before working.
Lastly, when modifying computer power, you should never work with 220V power on. thank you
