Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Knowing when to quit in poker takes various forms. It could mean quitting the current session you are playing or even deciding to quit poker completely. In this poker strategy segment I look at all of these forms and help you decide when is the best time to quit at poker! Quitting applies to poker in many ways; when to quit a cash game, when to not re-enter a poker tournament, when to move down to a lower stake or even when to quit playing poker entirely. This poker strategy video presumes that you are approaching poker as a professional. This will mostly help poker players that are playing to make money! In a poker cash game you should look to quit when: • The amount you expect to win no longer justifies playing • When the poker game is abnormally tough • When you expect to play poorly • When you are abnormally unhappy in a poker game • You should NOT quit when the game is amazingly soft You should not re-enter a poker tournament when: • When you expect to have a tiny or negative return on investment (ROI) • When you do not have a proper bankroll for the game • When you expect to play poorly You should move down to a lower stakes game when: • You are no longer properly bankrolled for your current game • When you do not expect to have a significantly positive hourly rate in your current game • When the lower stake game is exceptionally soft You should quit playing poker when: • You are no longer properly bankrolled • You are no longer profitable • You no longer enjoy playing • You can make better use of your time doing something else • Your time is limited.
