K. Therie, the Senior and Former President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), has questioned about the failure of the Neiphiu Rio-led government in implementing the Framework Agreement and the Agreed Points in Nagaland. According to Therie, the government has repeatedly issued false promises without making any positive progress on the matter, while constantly shifting its position. Therie particularly questions the resolution passed by the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) during their 5th Convention. He argues that there is no need for further talks with the Indian government, as the state already has two previously agreed-upon positions, which he believes should be implemented. His stance is that the state government has continuously avoided taking decisive action because the issue has become intertwined with political power struggles, rather than a genuine desire for peace and resolution.
