Video Not Working? Fix It Now

If there's one question I get asked all the time, it's "What type of clay should I use?". I think the presumption is that some clays are superior, or people are simply curious about the pink toned stoneware I often use, ES80, which is manufactured for reduction firing by the way, meaning if it's fired in oxidation it will NOT give you the same results.

Anyway, in this video I'm throwing and trimming three distinctly different stoneware clay bodies and comparing them, to hopefully find which is the easier to work with, yet of course there will be pros and cons with each.

Not every clay body is suitable for beginners and some are definitely a little more manageable at the start and hopefully this video informs you about the qualities you should be on the lookout for.

Thanks SO much for watching!
