In this video, I go over the format of the CBT Mechanical Engineering PE Exam and explain my recommendations on which exam to choose, based on your education, work experience and the characteristics of each Mechanical Exam: HVAC & Refrigeration, Machine Design & Materials, and Thermal & Fluids Systems.
Keep in mind that the paper-and-pencil versions of the Mechanical exams are no longer being offered. These exams are now offered in a computer-based test format only. This exam format presents you with new challenges that changes everything about how you prepare for the exam. I explain more about the challenges of the CBT Mechanical Exams in this video and in my Computer Based Mechanical PE Exam Experience videos (Part 1: The Big Picture and Part 2: How to Take the Exam with Confidence and Pass) and ini my “Change Is Here,” at drtomsclassroom.com/change-is-here/.
I hope this video helps you understand the CBT exam format better and helps you make the best exam choice for you. After you watch it, let me know how this video has helped you.
