The Flemish Goedendag ("good day") is probably one of the least known weapons of the Middle Ages, and definitely underrated for what it is. Quick and easy to make, yet surprisingly versatile, effective against armor, and devastating against unarmored foes.
It was popular in the late 13th and 14th century and earned notoriety in the Battle of the Golden Spurs (1302 Kortrijk / Courtrai, West Flanders, Belgium). If you underestimate this pointy war club it'll knock your socks off... I mean, your helmet.
