In Episode 4 of "The Amazing Digital Circus," Gangle had a weird obsession of being "normal" among her friends. However, she became somehow a lot worse during the so called "normal" adventure that day. How does a person actually became normal anyway?
The Amazing Digital Circus is an Australian independent adult animated web series created, written, and directed by Gooseworx, with production by Glitch Productions. The show centers on a group of humans trapped in a circus-themed virtual reality game, monitored by a volatile artificial intelligence, as they navigate their personal traumas and psychological challenges. Gooseworx pitched the idea to Glitch, drawing inspiration from 1990s CGI and Harlan Ellison's short story "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream."
Production began in 2022, and the pilot episode premiered on Glitch Productions' YouTube channel on October 13, 2023. The pilot quickly gained popularity, becoming one of the most-watched animated pilots on the platform and receiving acclaim from critics for its animation and dark themes, earning a nomination for an Annie Award. Following the pilot's success, production of the full series commenced. On October 4, 2024, after the release of the third episode, the series launched on Netflix, with new episodes airing simultaneously on YouTube.
