Canada is amidst an affordability crisis. Never has it been so difficult for a person with an average salary to buy a house, to pay for food, and utilities. Incomes have not kept up with rising prices and this has now reached the point that about 25% of Canadians are unable to pay for at least two essential items, which the Food Banks of Canada uses as its definition of poverty.
