“Stand ready for my arrival worm.” Soon after the events of the devastating yet amazing Invincible War in the story of Invincible, we’d be greeted with an surprise invasion of Planet Earth while Mark & everyone else are at their lowest by the 1 man army of Planet Viltrum. The man who has never failed to take a planet by force, battle incarnate himself; Conquest. Conquest is a character who’s existence consists of appearing out of nowhere with very little foreshadowing, not much screen time, and losing almost every battle we’ve seen him in despite his history in the overall Invincible Universe. From my perspective, each time Conquest is shown; his appearance has only been to move the story forward. Yet, we see amongst the community that he’s one of the most popular and beloved characters; I mean, the battle between Invincible & Conquest is the single most anticipated moment of the series; there have been edits and videos of this battle & and the two individual characters made since Season 1 of the show. So we have to ask, what makes Conquest one of the most popular characters in the cast despite his track record? In this video, I intend to explain all the reasons why I think Conquest works better than most.
