Crysis 2 took the iconic franchise forward in a controversial new direction that split fans. By narrowing the scope of levels and focusing more on a bombastic story Crysis 2 became a Hollywood shooter that had much in common with other popular FPS games like Call of Duty. Whether it was an attempt to draw in more gamers or a genuine shot at something different than their previous games Crytek changed the future of the series. In this Crysis 2 retrospective I cover many aspects of the game from the Nanosuit 2.0 to gameplay elements and at the end rank the game on my tier list.
