From 1920 to 1933, the United States attempted a "noble experiment": a ban on the sale, production and transport of alcoholic beverages. For many Americans, prohibition is absurd. Alcohol trafficking is in full swing, doing the business of the underworld, clandestine bars are multiplying, corruption is becoming widespread.
