So many sports card collectors continue to say, "buy the card and not the grade." But, are people actually doing that? I take a close look at some recent sales from ebay auctions, to see if people are actually buying cards (and paying prices) based on how nice the card is, versus what grade it was assigned from PSA. In no way am I suggesting that any of the PSA grades are wrong, but this is a look into the final sale prices of two "similar" looking cards with different grades on the slabs. The exponentially higher price of higher grade slabs is somewhat mind blowing, and I will continue to recommend buying high eye appeal cards that have lower assigned grades.
