The Yamaha R1 totally changed the supersport scene in 1998. This ground-breaking motorcycle evolved over the course of 20 years, going from being the "Fastest on Twisty Roads" to the "Fastest on the Racetrack," bringing speed and power while keeping ahead of the curve. The YZF-R1 proved its ability and potential by taking victories in competitions all around the world for example last year in WSBK. The cross-plane crankshaft since 2009 however, is what sets the Yamaha R1 apart from the competition. But why? Let’s find out in today’s video!
