The Frontier Sawmills OS23 portable sawmill is rated to cut a 23 inch diameter log. We pushed this sawmill to the limit, but got it done. Watches as we cut an oversized Red Oak log into 12 inch boards. The TYM Tractors T264 and the Worksaver grapple is saving our backs. We are having so much fun and learning more each log on this sawmill. This is only our second log, but I would do it different if I had to do it again. I should have cut the rotted side off first, but I was just so excited to cut, that I didn't think it through. There are so many brands of sawmills like Norwood, Woodmizer, D&L, Timberking, Woodland Mills, Harbor Freight, etc. Research and learn what you need.
But for me, I am happy with the Frontier Sawmill. It has been very good and easy to work. I love to see the inside wood grain the first time. It is always different and special.
