Why Is It So Important To Preseal My Terracotta Tile? Mexican Tile Restoration

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Are your Terracotta tiles looking white and or hazy? Dirt seemingly stuck and you've tried everything? Even stripping won't remove that haze? Well then you may have a problem caused by not presaging the tiles and that problem is grout haze. Grout haze looks as though it can be cleaned after removing the sealer but usually that is not the case. This is why you must reseal the porous terracotta tile before you install them so that the sealer acts as a grout release. This grout release ensures that the porous terracotta tile does not absorb the color out of the grout which also often causes a window paning effect. The best solution for all of this is prevention in the first place, but, If it is too late for all that, then the next solution is restoration. Here in this video I am using an acid to attack the grout haze but this is a lucky case because the grout haze will not always come out so easily and you could be stuck with it in worse cases.
