Six months after traveling around The Falls in search of the homes where my father grew up, I went back to take a second look. Was I too hard on Niagara Falls last time? Some think that The Falls bottomed out 5-10 years ago and is on its way back up. Are you glass half empty or glass half full? How you feel about The Falls depends on whether you're an optimist or a pessimist.
I learned a lot in the six months I was away from The Falls. Many of the abandoned homes are owned by big corporations. In one case, Niagara Falls Redevelopment, which is owned by a billionaire.
