There seems to be a lot of backlash out there about the validity of IT certifications and whether they help you all. Many say they are a waste of time and don't really prove anything.
In this video, I want to talk about it given my experience with getting a few certifications as well as being in the industry 7 years.
I'll give 3 reasons why I think self-taught developers and DevOps engineers SHOULD get certified, offer my suggestions for courses and paths, and end with a few warnings.
What certifications did I miss? Which do you think are valuable? Let's discuss in the comments.
