Why so many troubles with binding?

Today we have a very short video with a fairly common problem with Martin guitars. Despite this, I still consider these guitars to be one of the best acoustic guitars out there.

Materials and tools:
Whitespirit (solvent for cleaning old glue)
Glue UHU Allplas - glue for binding
Thin CA glue (literally any brand) with accelerator (for crack)
Bessey Clamp GSCC2.506
DIY scrapers from HSS saw blade
DIY sanding pad (I prefer Ersta sandpaper for this)
Nitorlack sanding pad (I use 1000 grit to level surface overal)
Winsor & Newton Promarker Twin-Tip Alcohol Marker 0124
Borma Acrylic spray lacquer 20% gloss
Dunlop 01 deep cleaner
Old toothbrush (lol)
Peterson Strobotuner
