Large model railroad layouts are awesome, but they don't always serve the introvert modeler well. Furthermore, overly optimistic layouts are often one reason why many modelers loose interest. On the other hand, a smaller (diorama style) footprint can offer fulfillment to the individual modeler for more reasons than one and many years to come.
