So we took a close look at this newly introduced New Republic Cruiser, and we finally figured out what the purpose of it is. Despite being lightly armed and not that intimidating to look at, this reflects an extremely smart design choice and change in naval policy from the imperial and republic era. Whoever put this ship together understands the fundamental challenges that the New Republic Navy is facing.
