When we started our hunt for a boat for the Great Loop, our initial budget was $25-50k for an older 38-42' aft sundeck trawler style power boat. We shared then our general parameters.
So just how did our search evolve to a front V-Berth 47' Pilothouse motor yacht?
We share some of the boats that we looked at, their asking prices and how we came to love the Bayliner 4788 (and specifically Y-Not). We also share what we paid and why we decided to finance.

Cherie & Chris have been full time technomads since 2006. In the winter we explore land in our 1961 GM 4106 bus conversion. In the spring/summer we move aboard our 1999 Bayliner 4788 slowly exploring America's waterways along the Great Loop.
We share for fun in our spare time. We have full time jobs that fund our adventures - running www.MobileInternetInfo.com - where we track mobile internet options for RVers and cruisers.
We love sharing a slice of our life with others at www.technomadia.com, Facebook and Instagram. Come join the adventure!
