Now, when I say "steal", I really mean borrow and make your own interpretations. Learning other melodies and songs can help you learn how to create your own melodies over time.
As we learn from great songs that have melodies that quickly catch the ear, we can learn how to implement the strategies that the greats use in our own music productions.
I have been recreating some of my favorite songs and using their melodies to create remixes and re-imagined versions of songs that I really enjoy.
Whether it's jamming to The Jackson 5's "I want you back", vibing to Floetry's "Say Yes" and getting funky with "Knee Deep", you can learn a lot from the formation of these simple yet catchy melodies.
