On January 17, 2025, officers with Florida Fish and Wildlife were on patrol when they observed a vessel failing to adhere to a no wake zone.
George, the operator of the vessel, was cited for failure to adhere to a no wake zone. George and the other male on the vessel, Steven, were both charged with three misdemeanors, one for undersize trout, one for being over the bag limit, and one for interfering with an FWC officer. Both were required to appear to court in person and both entered a misdemeanor intervention program, the cases are currently closed.
