Built on the same narrative model as the first opus, this second journey to local lands takes us towards new horizons, into the depths of our very varied regions, to encounter stories mixing human and animal destinies to better captivate us.
From the north to the south of France, this time passing through the Jura, Brittany, the Loire Valley, Auvergne, Aquitaine, Provence or the Pyrenees, this film tells the beautiful stories of the living world that surrounds us, stories based on observations of scientists and naturalists, stories of love or survival: the first days of a fawn alongside its mother, the rivalry between two wild horses in the mountains of the Basque Country , the curious tribulations of a genet, the incredible abilities of a seal to survive in the storm, the first migration of a young common crane who must during this journey find a companion for the rest of her life. But this trip is also the meeting with men and women who live in contact with nature: a Pyrenean shepherd, a fine connoisseur of patou, a lynx tracker, the gardener of the Château de Chenonceau...
Telling about our natural environment, showing it in all its beauty and diversity: the adventure continues, discovering this fantastic heritage, this wild world right next to us.
