There have been more cases of animals entering human-populated areas. Wildlife rescue groups say they saw a near 65 per cent increase last year, compared to 2023. But they add that people are more mindful to call for professional assistance in such cases of human-wildlife contact. Still, experts are concerned that there could be even more encounters in the future, as development projects pick up this year. That could also lead to more animals being killed on the road. CNA's Rachel Teng talks about the rise in cases of animals entering human-populated areas and what people should be doing when encountering such instances. She talks about the possible solutions for this considering that Singapore is land-scarce and that it is difficult to keep all nature spaces untouched.
