Hey! We're back, still getting old junkers to run just for the hell of it. This time it's a 1953 Ford and the fabulous flathead V8! Looks like we've got it running well enough to try to take Stella for a ride around the farmyard here...
We didn't have to buy any new parts this time, so that's a success when the budget is zero. The fancy distributor machine sure saved some messing around, too.
I sure like the sound of this old V8; good thing too because it's loud as hell since the muffler rotted away many years ago. I was pretty happy to see the Ford fire up after sitting for decades, neglected out back in the trees. This nice, untouched car could definitely be saved and is worth doing; it will need welding to the floors and rockers, etc, but overall pretty good for a car nearing senior's-discount age...
I hope you enjoy the sights and sounds of the legendary flattie as we rip around the yard a bit... no brakes on this unit so we're staying off the streets for now, haha.
