Wim Winters Double Beat theory - authentic sound or insanity? On his channel Authentic Sound Wim Winters has successfully tuned off monitors to planet earth, arguing that a proper understanding of metronome markings should lead us to play everything twice slower.

In this video I am not debunking Wim Winters. Instead of asking Is Wim Winters wrong, I reflect on his version of the double beat theory as a poetic and absurd intensification of historical performance practice ideas.
