As one of the Instructors and coaches, Marcella Oakley has unique experience in both law enforcement and Real Estate. Her diverse work history and background makes her an outstanding addition to The Black Swan Group.
During her career in law enforcement, Marcella served as both a detective and a hostage negotiations team member in the Washington DC area. Trained as a forensic interviewer, Marcella specialized in investigating crimes against children. Both roles were difficult yet rewarding, making her a powerhouse in sensitive and difficult circumstances.
In 2013, Marcella transitioned to working in Real Estate, adapting her skills from law enforcement to her new career. With her strong consulting and negotiation skills, Marcella’s Real Estate team has become one of the top teams in the Northern Virginia/DMV area. Her team was recognized by Arlington Magazine as a Top Producer in 2021, Elite Producers by Washintonian 2021 and Northern Virginia Magazine in 2020. Most recently, in 2022, Marcella’s team was noted in the yearly Power Players edition of DC Luxury Magazine.
