The careers of most great directors take a recognisable path; the early efforts showing flashes
of brilliance, the coming of age calling card and finally the masterpiece. Michael Reeves started shooting Revenge of the Blood Beast in the summer of1965 and wrapped Witchfinder General in November of 67, walking that path in just over two years.
