Meet Tingnyek Konyak the footballer from Lapa Village Tizit Mon Nagaland. He has been playing for Nagaland under 14 in Subroto Cup Delhi 5times. Nagaland team got 1st runner up in first year of the tournament and 1st in 2nd time.
He played his first professional game in 2007.
He has been a team Captain in a well know club such as Barak FC & Tornado FC etc.
He played a vital role in DR T. AO TROPHY leading the team Mon to 1st runner’s up for second times played between Dimapur vs Mon and Tuensang vs Mon.
He announced his retirement in 2024. He said, he wants to be a coach and a mentor in near future.
Mr Tingyek shared his vision about the establishments and provide better facility for the upcoming athletics.
He said, provided these facilities Nagas has potential to make many more international players. He also urged the Nagaland govt to complete the State stadium as soon as possible.
Mr Tingyek, also urges the rich to invest on sports field in near future.
