When eleven-year-old Mojo and sixteen-year-old Max were caught on the streets of Maryland, they ended up in an animal shelter. The volunteers quickly noticed that these two cats weren’t just random strays—they were true friends. Separating them would have been cruel. After veterinary checkups and necessary procedures, the pair was put up for adoption.
It wasn’t long before eleven-year-old Mojo caught the eye of a woman named Melinda. Living in a quiet suburb, she had always wanted a pet, and the ginger cat with white patches seemed like the perfect companion. "We told Melinda about Max as well, but at the time, she said she wasn’t able to take in two cats," recalls the shelter coordinator.
