Her powerful presence and wisdom are the fruits of many years of practice—including twelve years in a remote Himalayan cave—and the work of institution building necessary for educating nuns.
Jetsunma and BCBS Director of Studies William Edelglass share a conversation exploring her life, writings, the full ordination of nuns in Buddhist traditions, and the current situation of Himalayan and non-Himalayan nuns. They also discuss the education nuns receive at Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery.
