It is an analog DC layout whose origins go way back to his childhood.
Three generations have worked on this model railroad layout.
Achim's father was involved in building the first modules and painted a fantastic background for the layout.
And his two sons have also been busy planning, soldering and designing.
The layout represents a fictitious landscape between the “Bad Colgenstein” separation station, the real-life Steinberge See, and the “Ettenheim/Lahr” station of an idyllic branch line.
