In this pyrography wood burning tutorial episode, I will explain how to create the misty lake. I was asked to create a tutorial that showed mist or smoke. The process for both are very similar, so even though I did mist I think the techniques can applied to smoke.
In this tutorial I will cover the mist or fog, the distant trees, the lake, and the grass. I like to think that this is a beginner friendly project, but not everyone may agree with this assessment.
For this tutorial you will need a writer pen tip and a shader. I want to emphasize that you should use the pen tips you are most comfortable with. It is not necessary that the pen tips you use look look like mine.
Also I often get asked what temperature I'm burning at. Don't concentrate on the temperature, instead focus on the burn results. In the tutorial I mention the base color that I adjust my burner to get. I did write a community post about burner temperature if you want a little more information on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgzkHVl6Z_oCR-jwgp94AaABCQ
