Woodcarving Basics: Carve a Scallop Shell

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

If you've been following along with the first three parts of this series (Layout – https://youtu.be/vNGFVTXH-so, Tools – https://youtu.be/Gmrf8KprTUs, Roughing out – https://youtu.be/ryTfbohs4qM), then you're ready to make the shell look like a shell. The process isn't difficult, but you may need to practice sketching curved lines to get it just right. Once you get the curved lines of each lobe drawn I walk you through the process of carving all the details. There is a specific order in which I like to carve the lobes of a scallop shell. In the video, I not only give you how I go about the process, but why I tackle each step in a specific order. Be sure to hit Subscribe and ring the bell to ensure you don't miss any of my videos.
