Join me as I venture into my local woodland to photograph one of the UK’s most secretive birds—the European Woodcock! These incredible waders roost here during their autumn and winter migration, blending seamlessly into the leaf litter.
In this video, I share my process for finding and photographing woodcock, from identifying key habitats to using Thermal tech and fieldcraft techniques to minimize disturbance. I’ll also discuss camera settings, approach methods, and tips for capturing these stunning birds in their natural environment and in Low light that will require low shutter speeds to reduce ISO.
