I made a set of chestnut bowls from a piece of wood from a tree stump. Almost a year ago, I sawed a piece of chestnut into bowl blanks and cored them with my coring system, and then treated them with wood glue and set them aside to dry. When the wood was dry, I turned and finished these bowls for the second time. I finished the bowls with three coats of No Visible Oil, lightly sanded in between, and sanded the last coat smooth with 800 grit. The largest bowl has a diameter of 39 centimeters and is 13 centimeters high; the middle bowl has a diameter of 33 centimeters and is 10 centimeters high; and the smallest has a diameter of 26 centimeters and is 7 centimeters high
