Staring from an enormous poplar log, I turn a somewhat enormous (well, large, at least) bowl of poplar. Actually, because the wood is so fresh and wet, I just rough it out in this video. In Part 2, to be videoed and released when this bowl blank is dry, I will finish turn it. Does the poor log survive my clumsy attempts to make it look like a bowl? Will the bowl blank survive the drying box? Watch this video for the answers to these dramatic questions!
