Working on the Franken-Ficus, The Bonsai Zone, Nov 2024

I'm pruning my medium leaf size Ficus benjamina fusion Ficus. I also do some light trunk carving to help integrate the cutting with the original tree. The top of this tree died in the cold one winter and I have fused a new top on the tree using a cutting from the same tree. I hope to get a smooth flowing branch structure some day! This has earned the tree the name Franken Ficus!
