RAAF 9 Squadron had a special working relationship with the SAS. When Geoff was sent from the Navy to work alongside the RAAF, he also began helping in these operations.

The Australian SAS worked closely with the Huey crews. 9 Squadron soon became essential, with their ability to insert and extract SAS patrols, either over the jungle or on the ground. This was often done with support from Bushranger Gunships. In this clip Geoff talks about this experience, including an interesting story: the "tractor job".
