Coming off of the Westmont Pro Swim Series, SwimSwam drove 30 minutes east over to Aurora, Illinois, where the Fox Valley Park District Riptides were getting back into things. Now, that meant different things for different athletes.
For World Champ bronze medalist Leah Hayes (who won the 200/400 IM in Westmont), she was coming off of a high-level competition. However, most of her teammates were coming off of a 1-3 week break after their high school state meet. Either way, this was a pretty challenging practice to get through on a Monday evening.
Note: Since the group varies in skill level, this practice was more of a "do it at your own pace" vibe.
