Yamaha Blaster Porting Part 1 Exhaust Port

In Part 1 I walk you through a general layout for all Yamaha Blaster Cylinder ports for a porting tune that is appropriate for a mid-range rpm power. Some refer to this as a motocross tune. This specific port job is for a 3mm stroker crank (no spacer plate). Therefore, the port timing will be different than that of a regular stroke Blaster. Part 1 walks through the exhaust porting and what to expect and some tips and tricks. (For a regular stroke Blaster you can follow the same guidelines but don't take more than 1.5mm off the top of the exhaust port.) I like to refer to this type of porting as a "Nasty Blasty" port after a 1999 Blaster I built. Stay tuned for the next 2 chapters that will dive into the transfer ports and intake ports.
