This is part one in our top end rebuild on a Yamaha YFZ450R. In this video, John will show you how to take apart the top end on the YFZ450. We’ll start by getting the plastics, the gas tank, and the exhaust off, and then we’ll get into tearing down the motor.
We’ll show you how to remove the valve cover and find top dead center on the YFZ450, and then we’ll work on getting the cam chain off. Then, we’ll remove the cams so that we can get the head off. Finally, we’ll show you how to remove the piston on your Yamaha ATV.
