This trip was special for me because I traveled not alone, but with colleagues. There was someone to walk with, go to a restaurant and even joke with.

We will begin our acquaintance with the city with a monument stone to the founding of the city. And I will tell you how and when Yaroslavl appeared.

There are a lot of old and new temples in the city, we will see some of them. The first we will see is the beautiful chapel of Alexander Nevsky, built by the architect Nikolai Pozdeev at the end of the 19th century. And then we will see one of the symbols of Yaroslavl - the Church of Elijah the Prophet, built in the mid-17th century.

An interesting fact is that Russian theater began in Yaroslavl. Previously, the theater building was wooden, then it was rebuilt, and now it is a beautiful stone building that is impossible to pass by.

In the center of Yaroslavl there is a wonderful Italian restaurant Osteria Lucia. It was there that my colleagues and I went for dinner, and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself is in a 1906 mansion. We will try the best tartar in Russia. We'll see how they cook in the restaurant's open kitchens. Our whole company will tell you my signature: “Your health.” I couldn’t leave the restaurant without trying the filet mignon, and it turned out to be the best I’ve tried in Russia.

In the evening, the center of Yaroslavl is filled with life. Street musicians play great on the pedestrian street. We found a pharmacy from 1821. It's just a pharmacy - a museum.

The eternal flame in Yaroslavl is decorated in a very unusual way. We see a photograph of lovers who went to the front, torn into two parts. And in the gap in this photograph we see the monumental Assumption Cathedral. This temple is new, it was built by Moscow architect Alexey Denisov, who participated in the restoration of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

The historical center of Yaroslavl is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Walking through these places is an aesthetic and cultural pleasure. While walking we saw a building that is currently being restored, but we can’t ignore it and not tell you about it. This is the Matveevsky estate. The famous Lyubov Orlova lived in this house.

And we will continue to enjoy gastronomic pleasure. My colleagues and I are going to the famous Penaty restaurant in Yaroslavl. There we tried delicious pies with different fillings. We enjoyed the taste of duck pate and tartare with mustard ice cream. My colleague ate okroshka with sour cream snow. And I have gazpacho with shrimp. We finished off the meal with the Smashed Yogurt dessert and ice cream.

Next we walked along the Volga embankment and admired the beauty of the Volga Spit and Kotoroslo. And in the center we looked at the ancient customs building, at the bear that Yaroslav the Wise once defeated. And I will tell you a little about the history of Yaroslavl and its churches. We will see what you can buy in the souvenir shop.

And of course, you can’t go past the cinematic Yaroslavl. We will look at the place where the famous film Afonya was filmed. And we'll even drink beer there.

We will look at Yaroslav the Wise and compare him with the image on the thousandth banknote. Let's visit the Eliseevsky grocery store and see what they sell there. The Eliseevs themselves are from Yaroslavl, and this grocery store is a memory of them.

We end the second day of the trip with dinner at the Vanilla Sky restaurant overlooking the Volga. We try the food we ate in Yaroslavl in the old days. We will try such delicacies as kurnik, pies with mushrooms, pies with cucumbers, and salted milk mushrooms.
