TonyScapone plays Jewel in a Legacy League using Magic: The Gathering Online! These matches were played on: 02/26/25.
Jewel is a blue combo deck that originally found its home in Vintage and continues to be a menace there. In Legacy, we have managed to find a way to leverage the power of Jewel while still remaining threatening and disruptive early on in the game. Between Force of Will and Chaos Defiler, we have significant disruption but we are ultimately looking to resolve Coveted Jewel. Once we have resolved a Coveted Jewel, we start a chain of copying Jewel with Copy Artifact, Phyrexian Metamorph, and Transmute Artifact. We are eventually able to find Paradox Engine and draw our entire deck with The One Ring. From there we are able to play Emrakul, the Aeons Torn infinite times.
Today, we have are playing a new card from Aetherdrift called Stock Up and it is EXACTLY what this deck needed! Are there enough good cards to make Yorion a Viable option for Jewel?
Jewel is a deck that can be defined by the core of Coveted Jewel, The One Ring, Grim Monolith, and Ancient Tomb.
