Today's ride was all about redemption because this hill got the better of me and a bunch of my cycling mates a few days earlier so it was time time to take on this hidden little gem nestled in the foothills of the Pennines in West Yorkshire. Gear choice was going to be key and so I changed not only my cassette but my bike. If I couldn't get up this climb with a Shimano Dura Ace 50x34 compact crankset running an 11/32 rear cassette and a lighter bike, then I would have to acknowledge defeat.
