This homemade tipper in some parameters even surpasses the lift and the garage pit. The tipper can lift a car from any of the four sides. In addition, the design allows you to lift the car by the hub with or without a wheel. This method is indispensable when repairing the body and thresholds, fuel and brake system lines. Of the additional poles, good natural lighting and a comfortable height for work. In addition, in the pit, as well as on the lift, you hold your hands above your head. Here they are lower. Therefore, they do not get tired.

For the homemade product, I bought a 2-ton hoist at a flea market. And three pieces of steel pipe.
For welding, I used electrodes with a rutile coating ATLANT, which have been talked about a lot lately.
The manufacturer positions the ATLANT rutile-coated electrodes as electrodes for beginner welders and for use in domestic conditions. Before starting to make a universal car tipper, I conducted a series of tests with the electrode. Overall, I liked them.
How I upgraded my grandfather's (lift). To make a universal car tipper with my own hands, I prepared several templates for round pipes. I cut the metal according to the drawings. I cut some with an angle grinder, some with a plasma cutter. Then I tack-welded all the components and parts, and then thoroughly welded them.
Then I painted the homemade product with three-in-one paint that I bought for the project with the compressor.
I made special holders for the hubs. Behind the scenes, I drilled a dozen holes in the racks. This is an additional lock for the movable block in case the hoist breaks or the chain breaks. Additionally, for insurance, I made another homemade product with my own hands - a simple stop with height adjustment. After that, I conducted a series of tests, after which now the lift is not needed, when there is a universal tipper. In general, I upgraded (the lift) of my grandfather not in vain. The tipper exceeded my expectations. The design of the homemade product turned out to be very successful. In addition to testing the tipper, in the video I told what could be improved. And what shortcomings of the tipper I identified.
