Spring is finally here, and the garden is ready to burst back into life again. There are lots of seeds we can sow in March. It's an exciting and busy time for gardeners - we are hitting the ground running, and it's 'all systems go!'
I'm down at the allotment garden going over what vegetable and flower seeds you can sow in March, and I'll also give you some info about growing each crop as well.
Some of the seeds in my list will still be sown at home or in a heated greenhouse, where they will remain until after your last frost date. For me, that's around mid-May, as I live in plant hardiness zone 8b, in the North West of England.
Some of the other seeds can be sown in an unheated greenhouse or direct outside in March, as they are more cold tolerant.
What crops are you sowing in March?
