This homeowner saved himself over $10,000 by doing a lot of the prep work. A huge part of that savings was from him forming the concrete slab with 2x10's. That part alone saved $5400.00 from him having to pay us to do it. In addition to that he installed the 2" rigid foam and mat of rebar which was another savings of around $3500.00. Then, because he's a heating and plumbing contractor by trade, he could install the wire mesh and radiant heating tubes without having to hire someone to do that. The labor just to do that part is much more than $1500.00. That's how he saved himself over 10K by doing all the prep work and hiring us to just pour and finish the concrete slab.
