I spent 3 weeks traveling around the Philippines with my friends, and now I've compiled all of the information about our trip to make it easy for you to navigate around the Philippines stress free.
I think the most difficult part about our time island hopping in the Philippines was all of the unknown. You cannot look up many bus or ferry schedules online, so a lot of the time we just had to make our plans and hope there was a ferry going to that specific island on that specific day.
Another BIG thing that we almost had to learn the hard way, is MAKE SURE YOU TAKE OUT A LOT OF CASH! When we went to Malapascua we had "some" cash, but were assuming we could withdraw more once we arrived. Well, four of the five ATMs I visited were either out of order or out of cash, and NO ONE on the island accepts credit cards. So make sure you withdraw enough money for your entire stay while you are still in Cebu City to avoid any stress.

Bohol
